H.S. Girls Basketball Wrap: TCPA runs past Princeton in MCT

HAMILTON — The Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy varsity girls’ basketball team placed five players in double figures while racing past sixth-seeded Princeton High, 87-33, Monday in a Mercer County Tournament Championship Bracket quarterfinal at the Sister Dorothy Payne Iron Palace.

Saniyah Spell led the surge with 21 points followed by 13 from Sondjane Daudin and 12 from Kayla Oliphant.

Cianni Thompson and Mayah Alford added 11 points apiece for the third-seeded Mikes, who will visit second-seeded Hightstown Wednesday.

Anna Winters’ 11 points were the Tigers’ high.

Te’Yala Delfosse topped all scorers with 20 points. Johnson scored 16, while Rhian Stokes and Lillie Alston posted 13 points apiece.
