Wolverhampton betting tips

5.00: Kenstone 7/1 each-way (2pts)

This is a wide open 7f contest which could favour ten-year-old grey gelding Kenstone, who now has a 7lb claimer Ethan Jones on board, which comes at a crucial time as he’s been in great form here on his last two runs.

The veteran has ran 41 times on the turf and another 41 on the all-weather, but certainly has more place efforts on the artificial surface.

5.30: Fieldsman 14/1 each-way (1pt)

Down to a dangerous mark for trainer Tony Carroll and the tip is another veteran, this time an 11-year-old gelding who should prefer this switch back to 7f.

His last four runs can be taken with a pinch of slat as he only had one run over a preferred trip, while three of those came on the turf.

He placed here off of 8lb higher back in May over course and distance where he went on a run of placed efforts and looks a nice each-way price.

6.30: Dame Sarra 7/2 (1pt)

Won here over 1m4f when stepped up to the distance for the second time, back in the summer.

Has suited the progression to become a stayer where she initially started her career off over 7f and is only 2lb higher than her first given mark in March.

Most read in Horse Racing

She already has four runs here and a record of 6512 but has a significant boost in form especially on her first run over 1m6f last time out at Chelmsford, so presents a huge threat today carrying 8lb less than the top-weight under Josephine Gordon.

7.00: Aramis Grey 13/8 (2pts – NAP)

A consistent mare for trainer Rae Guest – the grey six-year-old has constantly been running almost monthly this year as she did last year and as a result already has 34 runs on the all-weather.

She carries top weight today against some much lower rated horses but due to that and her consistency with her recent form reading 323 including two of those in big runner contests she has to be fancied here.

She has 12 second place efforts and another six in third on the artificial ground.

Drops in class today on a course that she also does really well at with her form over course and distance reading 312413.
