South Eugene girls basketball player wins Register-Guard Athlete of the Week

South Eugene girls basketball player Zara Karpinski is The Register-Guard’s Athlete of the week.

Karpinski won the newspaper’s poll for top area athletes, which is voted on by readers.

The junior scored 12 points and had two rebounds in the Axe’s 48-38 season opener win over Thurston.
