U17 Basketball World Cup logo unveiled; Draw on March 27

MIES (Switzerland) – The logo for this summer’s FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup in Istanbul was unveiled on Thursday by the Turkish Basketball Federation.

 

The competition will be held from June 9 – July 27 in Istanbul, with the Draw coming up on March 27.

The unveiled logo catches the eye, with the designed based on the U17 Basketball World Cup trophy itself.

The trophy, relaunched before the 2018 edition of the U17 World Cup, celebrates the new, raw and true talents of the competition and the players that represent the future of the game.

The Draw for the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup will be held on March 27, starting at 12:00 PM (GMT +3), at the Wyndham Grand Levent Hotel in Istanbul.

Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Guinea, Italy, Lithuania, New Zealand, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Türkiye, Spain and USA are the 16 national teams playing at the event.

USA won the event for the sixth time in as many events since its launch in 2010 when they beat Spain in Malaga in 2022.

The city of Istanbul which is hosting the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup has put on spectacular events in recent times. Istanbul is where the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2010, the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2014, and FIBA EuroBasket 2017 were held.

FIBA
